My story

I'm not here to show you a yacht.

I'm from small-town Port Elizabeth, South Africa, where I played piano in a restaurant from 18 to 22. The only dream I had was getting my music signed. So in 2011 I sold everything and moved 10,000 km to the UK in mid-winter, with an 88-key keyboard bag, flip-flops and no plan.

And I did it. I got trance records signed in the UK and played gigs, which most musicians only ever dream about. Somewhere down that rabbit hole, I realised I wanted a different life: one built on total freedom.

My quest →

I talked my way into IT with no degree and no background, and climbed fast. Then I moved into consulting, doubled my salary overnight and specialised in cybersecurity and cloud. I spent those years inside government and Fortune 100 and 500 companies. One 3-week government gig turned into 2 years.

By 2020 I was running my second consulting business, serving enterprise clients across finance, e-commerce, cloud and data. That's 12 years of transformation work on three continents, across cyber, DevOps and automation. I learned how massive systems actually work, not from a course, but by doing it the hard way.

In 2025 we moved to New York for my wife's dream, and I rebuilt everything from the ground up. Today that's three things:
